Steaming is a funny, award winning comedy, by English playwright Nell Dunn.
This production focuses on the lives of six women, all from diverse backgrounds, who meet regularly at a Turkish bathhouse in London. When the ladies hear their beloved refuge is about to close down, they unite to try and save it.
This is a funny, sad, fascinating and thoroughly entertaining foray into the lives and loves of these women, who discover friendship as they shed their inhibitions.
The universal theme is that of vulnerability and strength, sharing our experiences. We are all different but, by coming to appreciate our differences, we discover, we are all the same.
This production contains adult themes and nudity however, theatre-goers should not be deterred from seeing what is a fabulous play in its own right, starring one of the country’s most well known television actors Val Lehman.
Please note: This performance contains coarse language and nudity
